Hi, quick question... I bought the mega-bundle some months back on D&D Beyond and DMs level of subscription. But... just because I bought the book doesn't mean I want access to its contents for every campaign, or even ANY campaigns. Case in point, Magic the Gathering, and Acquisitions Inc. I don't want ANYTHING from these two books to show up in my campaigns or as an option for my players to build their characters. How do I eliminate specific books/content from character creation or my D&D Beyond account?
It's kinda bothersome that I can post a question under "Bugs and Support" and never receive any kind of reply. If there's no way to accomplish my request, it would be nice if someone would pop in long enough to say so. But just to ignore the question and never respond is both rude and unprofessional.
Under content sharing once it is enabled, there will be a button for content management, In that window you can specify the books you want to use or deselect those you want to avoid.
Thank you but I don't think that's working... I can manage content in a specific Campaign, but not overall... and it doesn't seem to eliminate everything from certain books. For instance, I uncheck Fizban's and Dragonlance, but those options still show up for character creation and magic items, etc. I also don't allow Acquisition's Inc, and uncheck the box during character creation, but still get those languages, spells and feats during character creation.
This could be bugged, Sorry thought I could help. :-(
I have not noticed these issues but I don't generally Pull too much besides the adventures. But will say Don't use Strixhaven, or other MTG materials and my players generally don't have a problem not pulling from them.
I think it's just poor design. Sometimes I buy sourcebooks because I want to use certain subclasses or magic items, and that's usually fine. But then all of a sudden, my languages list gets longer or backgrounds get added to my lists in character creation, and then I have to waste time telling players, that "No, you can't speak Marquesian, there's no such thing in this campaign," or "No, you cannot pick Cobalt Scholar as your background, because that's not an organization in this campaign." Etc.
Ideally, there would be an optional checklist, so the DM could see everything that's offered at each step in the character creation screens/tabs, and could check or uncheck those permitted or those that should be excluded from the options.
You cannot prevent owned content from being used in the character creation function of a campaign where content sharing has been turned on. All you can do is make the associated books not readable from the megamenu. More granular filtering has been requested for years, and there's no sign of any progress (as with many other things).

Birgit | Shifter | Sorcerer | Dragonlords
Shayone | Hobgoblin | Sorcerer | Netherdeep
If one cannot prevent owned content from being used, is it possible to somehow "unown" a book? :D
