When creating a feat i try to replicate this type of effect "You gain proficiency in the <Skill> skill. If you are already proficient in the skill, you add double your proficiency bonus to checks you make with it." I suspected "Twice Proficiency" would be the modifier type to select for this type of effect. But it seems it's behaviour is identical to the "Proficiency" modifier type. It removes pre-existing proficiency in selected skill and only applies ordinary proficiency bonus.

This is also happening with wondrous items and the like. I tried making sure the character was already proficient to see if that helped as well.
I have run into this now on Subclasses. So this is still an issue. Does "Twice Proficiency" not work this way?
