There is no checkbox to select the trinket instead of the love letter or lock of hair in the entertainer starting equipment.
For now, we decided to leave trinket's as more of an instruction line, since the user is allowed to choose from a table of about 100 items, which could be problematic for the current UI.

You could have it work like rolling for starting gold works. Just click "Randomize" and give the player the trinket assigned to that number.

Has this been circled back on? There's a lot of these kinds of tables that could use a RANDOMIZE button.
