I'm making a Monk and want to give them the Hex spell. Rather than multiclassing, I purchased the Magic Initiate feat to learn it along with a couple of cantrips. I can pick the cantrips fine, but when I go to select the single 1st level spell, Hex isn't there.

Hex is kinda the only reason I purchased Magic Initiate, so I'd like to see this fixed, or at the very least explained why it isn't there. Thanks in advance.

Hex isn't a spell found in the Basic Rules, you have to either purchase it individually, or purchase the Player's Handbook
