First off, love the new change that shows advantage on skill checks in the character sheet. It's been needed for a while now, and the implementation looks great. However, this change has now cast a light on a passive score miscalculation:
All passive checks, including those listed on the character sheet (Wis Perception, Int Investigation, Wis Insight), are affected by a +5/-5 modifier if a character has advantage/disadvantage on that check (https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/phb/using-ability-scores#PassiveChecks). This is not included in the calculation of the passive scores listed on the character sheet.
A workaround is overriding the score via the customize menu, but this will not automatically update with levels gained.
Edit: Seems like different sources of advantage are operating in different ways. In my brief testing:
To further confuse, Elf sub-race Pallid Elf (https://www.dndbeyond.com/races/elf#PallidElf) correctly applies the advantage symbol to the skills area, but does not add +5 to the respective scores.
So looks like there's a few missing unit tests here =).
From the look of things, my Pallid Elf applied advantage to both Insight and Investigation, and increased my passive investigation but not my passive insight.
WIS is 16 (+3) and INT is 10 (+0), Proficiency is +2 (Level 2 Ranger) for both Insight and Investigation. I have +5 to Insight and +2 to Investigation under Skills, with the advantage icon. I also have proficiency in Perception with a +5.
Passives are 15 (Perception), 17 (Investigation), 15 (Insight). It looks like I am getting a +5 to my passive Investigation but not my passive Insight (which if a bonus is awarded it should be 20 I think). Without bonus due to advantage, my passive Investigation should only be +2 so I'm not sure why only one is updating.
EDIT: I see there are other threads on this topic, and the mods are working on it! Thanks!

Working perfectly, Sentinel Shield (https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/sentinel-shield) applies the advantage symbol to the skills area, and correctly adds +5 to passive Wis Perception score.
Meanwhile Stonespeaker Crystal (https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/stonespeaker-crystal) does not apply the advantage symbol to the skills area, nor does it add +5 to the passive Int Investigation score.

I am here year later, pallid elf passive insight still does not add +5 (from advantage).
The pallid elf passive insight has still not been fixed.
Pallid Elf still doesn't work, from what I can tell
"Mods are working on it"
2024 and still nothing XD
