So I've avoided posting anything in the forums because I wanted to offer a fair opportunity for response to my inquiry through other means, but I am at my wits end as I've been attempting to obtain any level of support for literally over 22 days now with zero response whatsoever from the team over at the D&D Beyond help desk through Zen Desk.
I'm hoping that someone will now (please & thank you) respond if I post here seeking support. For the record, it should be noted that my issue was assigned a rep and an ID# and I've even posted a request for response to the same... yet no one has seemingly paid any attention to that inquiry. My last effort at obtain a response was 9 days ago basically asking for any sort of a response - and both the inquiry thread and my e-mail inbox have received no response or assistance about my concern whatsoever.
UNRESOLVED ISSUE: The better part of a month ago I downloaded the D&D Beyond app to my iPad. I thereafter then opened the app & went to login. It was then where I noticed that the option to login with Apple was not present. Closed and restarted the app - same outcome. Uninstalled and reinstalled, same result - hence my original attempt to reach out to the help desk to figure out why the login with Apple button was not present as perhaps it was just an oversight on release.
CURRENT EXPERIENCE: Above issue remains unchanged. Then today I now see that the brand new DDB Player-Character App was released on both Android and iOS. So I downloaded that onto my iPad. Exact same issue - login with Apple button appears nowhere as an available option... and the only buttons appearing on my iPad's screen to click & login with is only either Google or Twitch.
Ultimately, I'd like meaningful insight as to why this is occurring overall and what can be done about it. In my own personal experience, DDB appears to allow login with Apple from the website, but not from an Apple iPad. As a result, what gives?
A red staff member's response is appreciated, thanks.
So for anyone else who may come to the forums seeking information about a similar issue... (I hope this helps someone)...
Apparently Login with Apple (specifically when you are logging in on apps located on an iOS device) is a feature that requires iOS13 or higher to work - otherwise it won't. So if you are operating on an older iOS edition (as I was), the Apple Login button will not appear in your DDB apps and you won't be able to login using this method until you update and upgrade your iOS.
It should be noted that if you travel to the DDB website from a browser on an iOS device (like from Safari or Firefox), it is my experience that your ability to use Apple Login from there is not affected - but if you seek to use Apple Login from inside an actual app and don't have the supported iOS13 version - then those apps won't work to allow Apple Login as they only started supporting the feature from iOS13 forward.
Many thanks to those @ DDB who worked to help me get this squared away; I'm most grateful and now the apps are everything I need to have all my DDB resources at my fingertips.
