I've got a Warlock that would love some tasty icy armor, but I've noticed that the spell Armour of Agathys just simple isn't appearing in my spell options.
I do have the PHB and own the online version. I can see that Warlocks should get access to the spell as it doesn't seem to be specific to a Patron. I see all sorts of first level spells, but I don't see Armour of Agathys.
I've tried reloading, assigning other spells, unassigning spells, searching for spells on the site and the character sheet, and nothing seems to work.
Any idea what's happening? Am I doing something wrong?
If you have purchased the Player's Handbook on D&D Beyond you should be able to access the Armor of Agathys on your character. Can you confirm that you purchased the full version ($29.99) or the Compendium version of the Player's Handbook? You should be able to check your order history.
If that is the case: If you purchased the Compendium version you have purchased the digital book to read on the website and the app, however the Compendium doesn't include the separate listings and character sheet ready content. Purchasing this version would decrease the cost of the full Player's Handbook however, so you should find that it looks cheaper here.
If that is not the case: Please open a ticket with support, who will be more able to assist with accessing your purchases securely.
I actually do own the 2014 book, but am still having this problem. Did the new book coming out screw something up? The arche fae and great old one subclasses are also not showing up, even as legacy content?

Are you making a character with the 2024 class, or the 2014 (legacy on, scroll down)? If you used the 24 class, you don't have access to the legacy versions of anything that was superseded in the 24 PHB, even if you only own the 2014 PHB.
I own the 2014 and 2024 phb. Armor of Agathis appears digitally in both chapters, but not on the character creator
Just to clarify, you're saying that you own both PHBs, and you're making a Warlock character, but the spell doesn't appear in the list of spells you can prepare in the character builder? What spells do you see? Can you post a screenshot?
When you say you own them, does that mean you purchased them yourself? If not, is your character assigned to a campaign where those are shared with you?
I have a Oath of Conquest (XGtE) Paladin and Armour of Agathys is not appearing on the character sheet. I own the 2014 PHB and XGtE and the character was created under the Paladan subclass XGtE rule. On the sheet under the Features and Trait Tab it is listed "Paladin SubclassPHB-2024, pg. 111" and under that it list, "Oath of Conquest (XGtE)" and under "Oath Spells XGtE" "armor of Agathys" is listed along with Command. However the 3rd level spells "Armour of Agathys" and when I search for the spell the result is nothing. Additionally the other prepared spells such as "Command" at 3rd level and "hold person" and "spiritual weapon" at 5th level are not automatically added as prepared spells as in Divine Smite and they have to be added as normal spells.

There's a long-standing bug with the 2024 Paladin class where the always-prepared spells from pre-2024 subclasses don't get added correctly. While this has apparently been reported to the developers, they haven't provided any information on if or when it might be fixed. It is apparently possible to work around the problem by making a homebrew copy of the subclass.

I hope that helps!
I think I figured it out actually! I was using the wrong profile, my bad. I'm all good now! Thank you!
