I’m a DM and one of my players has a glitch on her character sheet. She’s an Abyssal Tiefling, which gives her access to a single use of the spell Ray of Sickness. When I look under the Spells tab on her character sheet the spell is only listed once and its damage is 2d8. However, when I look under her attacks, Ray of Sickness is listed twice— one with the regular 2d8 damage and the other with 10d8 damage. Please help!
Normally it does add the spell twice -- once for the daily free cast and once that can be cast with a spell slot. It seems like somehow that second one is trying to cast at level 9, which is why it shows the higher damage and doesn't show in the Spells tab (since they have no level 9 slots).
If you click that 10d8 one, though, you'll see it shows the spell level at the top of the sidebar. Normally you'd be able to change the spell level there; it's not working for me, but you might want to give it a try. Otherwise, I'd try changing or removing the spellcasting ability used for Fiendish Spells, then refreshing the page and setting it again.
When I go in to change the spell level where it says 9 it turns into this: undefinedth
So… Also strange. I also went in and changed her character’s Fiendish Legacy from Abyssal to Chthonic, giving her Chill Touch instead. It shows up normally on the Character Sheet. I then went and changed it back to Abyssal— the 9th Level Ray of Sickness is still there. This is still the case after I refresh the page, unfortunately.
The only other thing I can think to try is to change the species to something else and back. If that doesn't work, you may want to contact customer support. http://dndbeyond.link/SubmitTicket
I’m glad it’s not just me (though I’m sorry others are also having this problem)! Customer support was unable to solve the problem for me, unfortunately.
