None of the optional class features from XGtE and TCoE appear in the builder when I select one of the new core rules classes. Are they not available when using the new classes? Wasn’t WotC’s whole marketing pitch that the new PHB would be backwards compatible with everything that came before? If this is an issue currently being worked, what is the estimated time for a resolution?

Many of the features were worked into the base classes. Some weren't added to the PHB and aren't part of the new versions of the classes.
The pitch was never that every single feature was cross-compatible. What's primarily compatible between them is subclasses (which can all be used with the only change being that you gain all subclasses at class level 3). Additionally, you can play 2024 and 2014 characters alongside each other, and both can be played in all existing adventure modules.
With that said, the optional features are part of the 2014 versions of the classes.

The updated Adventure League character creation options post specifically stated the following:
* If a rules option appears in a previously published sourcebook such as Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything or Xanathar’s Guide to Everything and was updated in the 2024 rules, use the updated rules.
* If a rules option appears in a previously published sourcebook and has not been updated in the 2024 rules, continue to use the most recently published version of that option.
IMO, this specifically indicates that Tasha's optional class features are still viable options unless/until reprinted. Otherwise an official ruling statement needs to be released to clarify & contradict this.

As I echoed in the other thread, your stance is trying to pick classes apart as piecemeal when the entire class is what was replaced, optional features and all.
