A mystery auth appeared on my PayPal today with no notification from Wizards what it was about. It's the same amount as the charge i got for the 2024 Players Handbook, which matches with the 2024 PHB costing the same as the 2024 DMG.
Why does Wizards not tell it's loyal customers about these charges. I can't find a record of it in my account history. I can't even find a record of my 2024 PHB charge.
Edit - I (foolishly) purchased the physical and digital bundle from Wizards back in the spring.
It’s a pre-authorization charge to ensure availability of funds. I think it has to do with making sure they don’t have the same issue with the DMG and paypal that they had with the PHB, which resulted in a lot of paypal users getting their physical PHB orders from the bundle cancelled.
I think it has to do with that too. Regardless, Wizards should offer an explanation before surprising it's customers, given what a mess the PHB physical orders were.
