Yet with these settings, the extra damage die does not appear on my attacks on the character sheet.
I have seen a similar question to this posted in July 2017, to which a reply stated that this issue was in the backlog just waiting to get implemented. Has it been resolved yet, or is it still due further down the line?
I don't think this is implemented yet. An official effect that does something similar (the lifedrinker eldritch invocation of the warlock) also doesn't work.
I have had the exact same problem. What's funny is that the feature works perfectly when the damage modifier is based on a fixed value or a base ability.
When attempting to add +1d6 to all melee damage via a magical item i used the following modifier:
but nothing changed on my character sheet. Then, I changed the the Fixed Value field to 3. I refreshed my character sheet and, once again nothing happened. Finally I set the die count and die type back to blank and on my next refresh, all melee damage modifiers on my character sheet increased by 3. weird stuff...
If you want to add crimson rite damage or some other secondary damage, you can't. This makes no sense. roll20 has this without any problem, why is this impossible to just add right on the sheet?
We are 4 years later... would be about time that this feature gets added. Also it would be nice when customizing an item to be able to add dice formula instead of a number. (example, 1d6 Damage bonus customization)
I am playing as a monk, and my DM has given me a wondrous item that adds 1d4 fire damage to all martial arts and monk weapon attacks.
For simplicity, I am happy to apply the bonus to all attacks on my character sheet.
I have added the following properties:
Modifier Type: Damage
Modifier Subtype: Fire
Dice Count: 1
Dice Type: d4
Yet with these settings, the extra damage die does not appear on my attacks on the character sheet.

Cheers!

Still broken. Homebrewed Flamesinger from NeMoren's Vault and had to add the damage as homebrewed spells.
