Hello I don't know if this is a bug on the character creator but the Magic Initiate Origin feat I can only choose spells from the druid class if I am building a druid, yet the feat description CLEARLY says you can "learn two cantrips of your choice from the Cleric, Druid, or Wizard spell list."
D&D Beyond character builder does not give me this choice. It forces me to only use Druid spell list.
Edit: Example, the deception says ANY cantrip of my choice from the three classes. So if I choose Light cantrip from Wizard that should work but the app refuses to let me select it. It isn't in the list at all. But the description should mean ALL cantrips of the three classes.
Edit: Also the character builder is incorrect in its wording. "Two Cantrips. You learn two cantrips of your choice from the Druid spell list. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this feat’s spells (choose when you select this feat)." This is wrong as the PHB says all 3 classes.
So is the background that is forcing to choose Druid spells and the feat is technically 3 different kinds of feat?
I chose the Guide background. I do see it says Magic Initiate (Druid).
But this is contradictory to the description of the feat in chapter 5. No where in that chapter does it state you are locked in of a kind of feat. The description says you can choose one of the 3 classes.

If you acquire the feat as an Origin Feat from your background, that choice is made for you by the choice of background. If you acquire the feat through some other means, you make that choice yourself. This isn't contrary to the feat description.

The backgrounds that grant the feat grant a specific version of the feat.

Ok, I understand it now. Thank you for clarifying.
