WHY DOES EVERY SUBLASS I MAKE SAY IT CAN'T BE SHARED BECAUSE IT'S TOO SIMILAR TO THE CIRCLE OF SPORES???
I know all caps may seem excessive, but I've been dealing with this for over a year and I have no idea what is going on with it. It even happens with non Druid subclasses.
The issue is actually with DDB's automated error messages, you'll find other people asking this if you search the forums. Usually it just means 'you've used something too close to a copyrighted (ie not Basic Rules) term or feature.' Remember that you don't need to publish something to use it yourself or share it in a campaign, so most of the time you can ignore it. If you are trying to publish something to share with everyone on DDB, it's usually recommended to get it community-reviewed in the homebrew forum first, since once you publish it you can't delete it, only publish a new updated version with any corrections, so if you want to go that route you can also mention this issue and folks with probably be able to spot what the issue is, in addition to giving you feedback on the subclass as a whole.
Thanks for the answer. Honestly, I don't think I've intended to publish any subclasses I've built, it's just been a minor irritation I usually ignored but recently got even more confused since I had a subclass I converted from 2014 to 2024 and 2014 version said that until I changed one minor thing but made it the same in the 24 version and it said the Spores thing. It doesn't matter, I'm rambling here. Thanks again, hope you have a great day/night.
