I created a paladin with the 2024 magic initiate origin feat. I Chose 2 cantrips & a 1st-level spell from the cleric spell list. The feat says I can cast the 1st-level spell 1x / long rest without using a spell slot, but that I can also cast it with any slots I have available. However, on both the website & the iOS app, the only option I have under spells is to cast it 1x / long rest. I have 2 1st-level spell slots available, but there isn't an option to cast the spell using 1 of them. Thank you.
There isn't currently a way to display both "Use" and "Cast" options when the feature lets the user choose their own spell. However, all the "Cast" button does is mark a spell slot as used, which can also be done by simply clicking the spell slot.
Thank you for letting me know how it works for now. After you said that, I realized that the other times I picked something in this situation, they were all cantrips & any leveled spells were all pre-picked...
BTW, I like your username. I'm originally from HI, where we eat a lot of Spam--there are even cookbooks & haiku & dishes served at 4-star restaurants... However, since not everyone eats Spam, there's a restaurant in CA that makes teriyaki chicken musubi instead of Spam musubi.
Aloha & Mahalo! 😺
