Hello! I'm going to be doing some Campaign overhauling but I'm wondering about all the currrent characters who are attached to the campaigns.
I've got 5 campaigns with over 30 players interspersed through them. I would like to start over with a few campaigns-- what does that mean for the players who are connected to the campaigns now? Will they be able to have their characters on their own account still? I assume they won't be able to access my content anymore, so will the characters no longer be able to level up/be accessed?
And how do I go about moving characters from one campaign into another? I want to consolidate certain players into their respective campaigns, but at the moment they are a little spread out.
Secondary Q: If I "Deactivate" a campaign, will the players still be able to access their characters?

On the campaign page, click "Remove" under the character name; if they are your characters, you may have to look under "More" to find Remove. NOTE: If these are your players' characters, please give them a heads up that you are about to do so.
SEnd your players the link or links to the new campaign(s) and ask them to join with their characters.
For your characters, copy the invite link for the campaign you want to add them to (using the handy "copy link" "button") and paste the link into a new browser tab, hit return, and add your characters.
I haven't been able to find this and know I'm late to the party here but how do you leave a campaign if you yourself are a player? I don't have enough friends on DDB to be in a campaign I didn't create lol.
I'm trying to remove a couple of players but i do not see the remove button how do I kick them out?
In campaigns you created there will be four options for active characters: view, edit, deactivate, and remove.
If you only see two options, view user profile and view, then you're looking at a campaign created by someone else. You can use the leave option on your character but you can't edit a campaign you don't own. Just above the characters it will show the DM, the campaign owner.
If it is your campaign, try refresh or clear the cache and cookies for DDB.

Do my instructions in the post directly above yours not work for you?

How do you remove Your characters from someone elses campaign if they refuse to remove them for you?
Go to your 'My Characters' page. Each character in a campaign has a 'leave campaign' option. Click on that and confirm.
You'll have to get the campaign link from the campaign owner if you want to go back.
There is no Remove Character option!!!!!! How do I do this????
DMs will see the "REMOVE" option for each character on the campaign page. Players will say "LEAVE" there instead for their own characters.
Players will also see a "LEAVE CAMPAIGN" option in My Characters for each character assigned to a campaign.
