I bought 10 books total yesterday. Six of them were part of that 2024 core book bundle where you get 3 digital and 3 physical copies. The other four were individual digital books. They charged me the full amount of all 10 books (both physical and digital books). Then they tried to charge me an additional $120. My bank flagged the additional charge and did not allow it to go through but the initial payment did go through. I tried emailing and getting a ticket started, but whoever is handling it does not have the brain cells to understand as I have been going around and around with them in circles. They told me that the physical books do not get charged until they are ready to be shipped. I showed them multiple proof that I have already been charged for all the books in full. I even added up the price for all the books myself 3 times. Plus it was a part of a bundle so it was 1 payment and when I purchased it, it said that the books were shipping. I don't know what else to do. Now they said that the books are being refunded. I do not want a refund I just want the books that I paid for!!! I already received the digital books, I just need the physical ones. Is there anyone on here that can help me figure out what I need to do next? This is not the first time I've had similar issues with DNDBeyond's marketplace purchases.
I know that normally for preorders, there's an initial payment authorization for the full amount, but once the transaction finalizes, it's at a reduced price (only the cost of the digital items). The physical items are then charged before they're shipped.
If you ordered yesterday, though, it wouldn't have been a preorder, so I'm not sure if that's the same situation here. You might want to check the final cost once the transaction is finalized, though.
