Paladins are supposed to have their Oath spells automatically prepared but if I want to add them they take up a prepared spell. "You gain oath spells based on your level that are always prepared and don't count against your daily number of prepared spells."
There's an issue with legacy paladin subclasses not preparing their spells.
Until they fix it, you have to make a homebrew version of the subclass that gets it right. (Or, if you don't own the subclass yourself, you might be able to do it by homebrewing your species.)
