As the titele says, if you add custom items to your inventory and export the sheet into PDF, the entries of said items are doubled in the Equipment List. The strange thing is, that the weight is also added a second time. (eg. I have a weight carried of 126,94lb in DND Beyond, but 142.94 lb. in the exported character sheet, and exactly 16 lb. of custom items - so it seems it is more than just a "display error")
I am not familiar with that bug, but the strange thing is, that the duplicated items are only on the exported PDF character sheet.
In the DnD Beyond Website or app, everything is fine - but once you export the sheet to PDF, the custom item entries are doubled AND their weight values!
(So, just a side note: it seems that the export mechanism is not just copying the weight values of the inventory onto the PDF sheet, but calculates it again with all entries of the PDF-inventory before it puts it into the PDF-sheet).
I just "recreated" my current char (transmutation wizard) from scratch without any copying-function, added the custom items, and ... they are still doubled on the exported PDF-sheet
BUT
I also have another char (totem barbarian) who wields a custom weapon, and look - it is NOT doubled on the exported PDF-sheet.
So far, I have no idea, what could lead to that behaviour on one character, but not on the other.
I could, but I don't see a reason for that to be honest. The duplication of custom items only happens after exporting to PDF, and if the character is not owned by you, you can't do that - so the mods or no other person can see or recreate it. The custom items are NOT DOUBLED in the "normal" inventory on DnDB after all.
Quick explanation for your more recent question: the Pizzaschaufel isn't a Custom Item. The item in Inventory is a customized Quarterstaff weapon, while the attack is a Custom Action.
So the item-doubling error is still unsolved apparently. Anyways, it is not really a huge error, since I can simply erase the extra items in the PDF sheet.
I see a similar issue with items being duplicated in the PDF output.
I noticed that when I add a custom item (that is, an item that is not selected from the available list of equipment), then it is duplicated in the PDF output. For example, if I add a custom item called "Ball of Twine", it will appear twice in the PDF output. But if I customize an item that can be selected from the available equipment list, it only appears once in the PDF output. For example, if I add a Bedroll to my inventory, and then customize it (such as: add a note that says "Sized for a gnome" and reduce the weight), then it only appears once in the PDF output.

I wonder if this is related to another bug, the one with custom items duplicating when you Copy a character...

Any news on this?
Does anyone else have that problem? I can't be the only one that adds custom items and uses the PDF export feature of DnDB ^^
Sorry for tripple Posting, but:

Can you please post the URLs for all of the affected character sheets so a Mod or Staffer member (not me) can look into it or you?

Mods have Edit access to your character sheet (as would your campaign's DM if you're in a campaign), so yes, they can do Export PDF on your character.
You could also post the url to the generated PDF so other people could see it.

Oh I wasn't aware, sorry!
Okay, the character where the custom items in the exported PDFs are doubled is this: https://ddb.ac/characters/53444106/R84Wlr
The character where the custom item is not doubled: https://ddb.ac/characters/66005450/XjlOmU

Oh, damn, right, I did it that way ...

Still, thanks for your help!
Just for information, the bug still persists.
I went ahead und just recreated all the custom items in the homebrew creator - those are not getting doubled.
Yeah, it looks like they fixed the issue when Copying a character, but not PDF generation.

Hope this is helpful to the developers.
Can confirm that the issue persists.
