When using Create Feat in the Homebrew Creations, no option is provided to define the type of feat. All Homebrew Feats are treated as General Feats, and therefore can't be added as an Origin Feat (for the Human Versatile feature), a Fighting Style for the Fighting Style Feature of multiple classes, or as an Epic Boon for the Level 19: Epic Boon selection of every class.
I tried the only option I saw, which was adding tags, but that didn't work. What is the method of adding new non-General feats for 2024?

It does not appear that they've implemented anything like this (yet). The homebrew system in general hasn't really been updated for the 2024 rules in most respects.
For fighting styles, it does appear to be possible to add the prerequisite of having a Fighting Style feature (you can see this if you use one of the existing ones as a template) but I don't think this actually makes it appear in the drop-down for that feature.

Does anyone know if there's an ETA for this yet? I've got a homebrew background and origin feat that I've been waiting to set up since the 2024 release.
So, there's an Origin tag that I've added to the Homebrew feat I'm working on, but the feat isn't showing up as an option for Human to select as their Origin feat. Am I missing something, or is this still not working?

I realize it's hopeless, but this still needs fixing. Homebrew feats with the Origin tag should be selectable anywhere Origin feats can be selected.
My Homebrew Origin feat still doesn't show on the list for 2024 Human's origin feat selection.
I assume this requires significant rework and the team implementing it the first time took the hard-coded clutch solution due to time constraints.
And now upper management doesn't think it's necessary to prioritize "because it works and we don't make money from homebrew" (regardless of what the developers would like to work on).
There are so many mysteries with how things are set up.
Dropdowns that offer Origin feats not being able to filter feats by "Origin" tag is utterly bonkers. What way did they decide to code it? What did they think was a more logical choice than "if Feat has Origin tag, then include in list"?
Since it's clear that's not how Origin feat selection functions, did they hard-code the list of options everywhere Origin feats get selected? How then are you going to expand the origin feat list when new content is released? Recode the hard-coded lists every time?
The fact that it's incompatible with homebrew surely means they also made it harder for themselves, too...

Yeah, it doesn't appear in the list.
