I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what i need to do to get the errors off my subclass...
according to research, Clerics should have features at 3, 6, and 18 for the 2024 version, which i already have. i also changed all my spells to any spell found on the Free Content Spellspage but i keep getting the same errors:
"This Subclass cannot be shared with the community for the following reasons:
This homebrew Subclass has data mapped to it that is licensed content or private homebrew. This typically occurs when licensed or private homebrew spells are linked to the Subclass.
This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels."
Nobody's going to be able to view that without sharing a campaign with you. Post a campaign link and I'd be willing to look at it a little later. (You don't need a subscription for this, don't worry if you don't.)
You may want to try adding a dummy level 1 feature.
There's a long-standing bug with homebrew subclasses where the thing that checks which levels you have features at seems to be checking both the list of levels for the 2014 version of the class and the list of levels for the 2024 version of the class. Since 2014 Clerics get a feature at level 1, adding one there may fix that second error.
The first one is hard to gauge without looking at it, but make sure you've actually clicked the main Save button after making any changes to the spells.
Here's a link, do i have to add a character with that subclass?
No. But you didn't post a link.
Basically, just create a blank campaign and link it here. People like myself can then join with a dummy character and look at the homebrew subclass you linked.
-As mentioned above, leaving a dummy feature at level 1 can fix the "correct levels" issue. Just hide it from builder and everything.
-Thunderous Smite and Wrathful Smite are not considered part of the Free Rules and are causing the other error.
-Side note that isn't blocking you but still just a little touch, the level 17 ability is missing a space between two words. ("Frightened" with the tooltip and "when")
ITs been A few weeks but i finally got around to making the changes you suggested :) Unfortunately though, I'm still getting the same two errors. i tried adding "Divine Favor" and "Shining Smite" from the Basic Rules but i deleted them again just in case. not sure what else is wrong with it :(
There’s currently a known issue where all spells will trigger that error (even the ones from the Basic Rules).
But just in case: note that these errors apply only if you’re trying to publish your subclass for the global community. If it’s just for use in your own campaigns, you can safely ignore those errors and use it as-is (with whatever spells you like).
