Using 2024 wild shape forms, it appears one cannot add the mammoth to extras. Searching for mammoth under 2024 wild shape forms, it is not found. Mammoth can be found and added to extras when using 2014 wild shape forms, but the stat block will be incorrect if one is using 2024 rules.
Do you own the 2024 Monster Manual, or is it shared with you in that character’s campaign?
Are you a Circle of the Moon druid? Mammoth isn’t an eligible choice for any other druid due to its CR.
Are you at least level 18? Even for a Moon druid, its CR is still too high until you’ve reached this level.
If you do have the MM but you (and your DM) want to ignore those last two rules, you can also uncheck “Filter Using Wild Shape (2024) Rules” when selecting your monster and then you can choose anything.
