When attempting to make a copy of the 2024 Path of the Zealot Barbarian, I encounter a 500 internal server error instead of being taken to the homebrew edit screen.
You can't currently make a subclass from a template. My suspicion is it likely has to do with the design of the new subclasses where many of their features are linked to the new "Activate Rage" feature in the character sheet. To my knowledge, there is no interface in the homebrew tool to construct such an interaction, so those subclasses can't be duplicated via homebrew currently. I had to just make what I wanted from scratch via copy+paste.
I am trying to make one from scratch and I still get the error after giving it a title, short description and description. I have tried it on different browsers (except firefox).
Same for me trying from scratch. I thought I found a workaround by starting the subclass on mobile, but I eventually realized I was still making a 2014 Barbarian even though I had selected the new Core Rules one. When I finally gave up on a template and started from scratch, I get the error after entering title and descriptions.
Okay, specific workaround (may work with other variations) - Select the 2024 Barbarian and then pick Path of the Ancestral Guardian as a template. It let me do it with no error, AND it stayed 2024 version. For some reason when I tried a Path of the Beast template with this method before it defaulted back to 2014.
Quite funny that a moderator wrote "THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE" like 5 moths ago, and a user needs to find a loop to "solve" it somehow when it is something that should have been solved in a day, as it is quite a problem not be able to create homebrews.

Still encountering this error, and seems to happen for any attempt to use a subclass as a template for homebrew specifically for the 2024 Barbarian.
This is a known issue.

I'm getting it now. Does anyone know a work around?

So I take it you need to have bought Xanathars on dndbeyond for this to work?
For this fix, yeah. I’d attempt it with any other subclass options you see though. There have gotta be others that work.
I don't own anything on dndbeyond, just the regular core rules with berserker as the only option

This issue is still present, any ETA on the fix?
