Sometimes when you make a forum post that involves writing under a blockquote, it becomes invisible on mobile (and in a tiny font size on desktop), and completely uneditable. (The "Edit" button doesn't work so you're stuck with your broken post.)
This would be a bug with the forum software everything runs on, which isn't something likely in the control of DDB.
You can fix this yourself by editing the post and using the Source code option </> to remove any formatting around the text. What's happening is the text is being coded as "p-comment-notes" in the div class and that just needs to be removed.
Unfortunately, I can't fix it myself, because one of the effects of the bug is that the post becomes completely uneditable. When I click the "edit" button on the affected post, it does nothing. The edit button does not work on an affected post. So all I can do is make a follow-up post. (I could try deleting it and reposting it, I suppose.)
Who oversees the forum software everything runs on? Is it a third-party company? Can I appeal directly to them? Or can I appeal to you to appeal to them? There are a lot of bugs in the forum software, and as far as I can tell, there have been no patches or updates or bug fixes of any kind for at least five years. Will the forum ever be fixed? Or will the coding be frozen like this forever?
If you right-click the edit button and open the link in a new tab, you can adjust the HTML. I've gone ahead and fixed that post for you. You should be able to edit it as normal if you need to change anything further.
@spamandtuna @Davyd – I do urge you both to reach out to whoever the vendor is who produced your forum software (as well as to DDB management) and plead for a patch or update to our forum system.
It's been 5+ years with no updates or fixes to the forum system - customers like me complain about the same bugs over and over. (Because it's not just this recurring bug! Remember the "time travel" bug of last year that locked thousands of users out of the forums for months? Or the buggy dice roller?)
It doesn't reflect well on DDB to have buggy software that you never patch or update. It feels like intentional neglect from DDB management.
Please go to bat for the customers! We count on you guys to bring attention to this stuff!

I'm just a forum user, I'm no going to reach out to anyone as this doesn't impact my forum experience any more than any other forum platform I use. I was just providing you with some information to help you direct your issues in the right direction
