I built a homebrew race that I'm not planning to publish for the general community, but I would like other members of my campaign to be able to view, access, and use. I'm not the DM of my campaign (not sure if that matters), but the race does appear for me when I look at the "Race" list when creating a new character. I've tried sharing the race description direct link with other members of my campaign but it only gives them a 404 Page Not Found message (even when they're signed in to their DnDBeyond Accounts).
Am I missing something or is it just not possible to share a Homebrew race within a campaign if you're not the DM?
I think you have to be the DM to share private homebrew. On the note about you trying to share the direct link, you cannot share links to private homebrew, it won't load for anyone but you and mod/staff. On another note, if you were to publicly share the homebrew, to my understanding, everyone would need the hero tier sub in order to use it, or one person with the master tier sub.

This has changed. Any user with a character in a campaign with the homebrew creator, can see the details pages of the homebrew data, even when it's private. You DO NOT need to publicly share it for your campaign players to see it. And no subscriptions are needed by any users for homebrew to be shared. It happens automatically.
That's great news, but any idea why the other players in my campaign can't see my homebrew race when they're in the character creation menu? It does appears in my list of possible races and I have been able to successfully select it for my character in the campaign.
p.s. From your response, it also sounds like the Description page link should work for them instead of show a Page Not Found message. Any thoughts on the cause of either?

I knew for private homebrew a sub wasn't needed, but according to Full Subscription Details for D&D Beyond to use public homebrew you need the sub. That's what I was talking about with sharing publicly. That hasn't changed as well, has it?

Yes, that part is still correct. A user that wants to add someone else's published homebrew to their collection, and the creator is not in a campaign with them, would still need an active subscription to add it.

Their characters are already joined in the campaign thru the campaign join link, correct? They won't see your homebrew if they just go straight to the character builder.
That's correct. All of our characters appear under the character list for this specific campaign and on our individual accounts we can see "In Campaign:" and the name of the campaign under our characters (we've been playing in this campaign for a little over 6 months).
RESOLVED: We continued troubleshooting based on the information you shared and realized that we can't go into Character Creator by itself, it has to be through the campaign. So an invite to create a character or to create an unassigned character is the only way that the Homebrew race will appear.
Thank you for your patience and help!

They should be able to see it when making a character inside of the campaign, but I don't think you can share the link without it being published.

I am the Inquisitor Imperitus. I am judge, jury, and executioner. Draw your last breath now, as I send you to the Nine Hells.

/e ArcaneArchivist, do the other players in your campaign have the homebrew content slider turned on? https://gyazo.com/b305a4457d58f0f6c9acd07f421a56a1
