Decided to start a new campaign and one of my players wanted to play elf warlock with haunted one background. As part of the new background system the character creation menus gave him an ASI when he selected his background, which I expected since it's an older background and probably wouldn't have an origin feat. But it also allowed him to put all 3 ability points into his charisma, violating the +2/+1 or +1/+1/+1 rule that usually applied for ASI. I haven't been able to reproduce this yet but I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this.
