The magic initiate feat only lets me select from the cleric cantrip and spell lists. It does ask if I want to choose wisdom or charisma for spellcasting, but it does not give me the option of choosing from druid, wizard, or cleric spell lists.

If you got the feat from your Background, then the choice of spell list is fixed to one that's relevant to the background itself. Acolyte gets Cleric, Guide gets Druid, and Sage gets Wizard. If you chose Acolyte, and it's limiting you to the Cleric list, then that's correct.
If you got the feat from some other means, it should allow you to choose one of those three spell lists. However, you are limited to the spells on that one list; you don't get to mix and match between the three.
