Was trying to port a pact of the tome archfey warlock over to the new 2024 warlock and I no longer have the ability to use any of the associated invocations like Book of Ancient Secrets, Far Scribe, or Aspect of the Moon. Is this intentional or a bug?
Yes, they've seriously nerfed Pact of the Tome and Pact of the Chain, each has only one successor Invocation... makes them almost not worth investing in, except other Invocations seem to have been dropped as well, reducing the options
Keep in mind that the new version of Pact of the Tome on its own is a lot better than the old one and essentially includes the old Book of Ancient Secrets invocation, which was the only successor for it in the old Player's Handbook.
the new Pact of the Tome gives you 3 Cantrips (same as old Pact) and a max of 6 Ritual spells, but only level 1; where the Book of Secrets you could learn any Ritual you had the Levels for, and the DM was willing to give you a scroll of
Also, there where at least 3 other invocations requiring Pact of the Tome; one for 0hp (the only one now), one for Sending, and one where you didn't need to sleep
