Maybe I’m missing a prerequisite, I’m not sure since I’m newish to d&d and completely new to Beyond, but I’m unable to select or even see the dueling fighting style for a level 1 fighter in creating. Is this a bug or a feature?
Edit: fixed
>>turns out that i was using the new 2024 handbook rules. A quick character sheet edit by reelecting the class and coding legacy fighter fixed it
Can you please explain a bit more on how you fixed this.... this is my first time using the character builder..... I assume you went into your "character builder" and only selected legacy under "HOME"... and then deleted your Fighter class under " 1 Class", and reselected it?
Pretty much. The 2014 and 2024 versions are set up as different classes. If you want to use the 2014 one, you need to have 2014 Core Rules enabled for that character, then you need to choose your class from the 2014 Core Rules section (further down on the class page).
But why can’t the new fighter use dueling? It’s in the new 2024 handbook.
The new Fighter can use Dueling. If you're not seeing it, it's probably because you don't actually own the 2024 Player's Handbook. The only fighting styles available in the free Basic Rules are Archery, Defense, Great Weapon Fighting, and Two-Weapon Fighting. To use any other options, you need to own the book(s) they come in.

This saved me. Thought I was going crazy. Thanks.

Thank you!! I was selecting 2024..... didn't realize there was another list further down the page!!!
Idk why but for me whenever I choose dueling... Its always showing ''two-hand weapon fighting'' on my character sheet
You mean the little reference under Bonus Actions that says Two-Weapon Fighting? That’s always there. It has nothing to do with your feat.
