I'm working on adding recurring NPCs to my campaign, but I'm running into a bit of a snag. My goal is to create character sheets for these NPCs using the same format as player characters, add them to the campaign, assign them to myself, and keep them either private or hidden.
However, even when I set the NPCs to private, my players can still see them when they log into the campaign. Has anyone run into this issue, and is there a way to prevent NPCs from being visible to players?
I also don't want to use stat block characters for all NPCs.
Players will be able to see the name, species, class, and portrait of any character in the campaign. Setting it to private simply prevents them from viewing the sheet itself.
