Making a Twilight cleric and wondering if there’s any way to change the always prepared domain spells from their legacy version to the 2024 versions. All the other spells on my list are modern rules but it doesn’t seem like there’s a way to change the domain spells from legacy. I know Twilight Domain is a 2014 subclass so it makes sense why they’re legacy, but just curious if anyone has found a way to make the domain spells into the 2024 versions
Until and unless they do an official updated version, I think the only thing you can do is make a homebrew copy of the subclass and give it the updated spells. That's what I've done for my Twilight Cleric.
How does that work exactly? I haven’t made anything homebrew on here as I’m still just getting used to how the character sheet even looks. So pretty much just a one by one copy of the class and its features except I’m just substituting the spells? Does it still function the same with the character sheet as the subclass made by dndbeyond does or does using a homebrew subclass come with any downsides to it
When you create a subclass, you can select an existing one to use as a template. That will give you an exact copy of it.
Then you’ll just need to edit the Basic Information section. Give it an appropriate Name and Description first, then look for a field called Additional Specific Spells. You can remove the spells that are already there and add the 2024 versions instead.
Once you’re done, just switch your character to your homebrew subclass instead.

Basically, yeah. The homebrew system does have some annoying limitations, but replicating an existing thing that already exists is usually pretty solid.
