Starting at 2nd level, you can add half your proficiency bonus, rounded down, to any ability check you make that doesn’t already include your proficiency bonus.
They don't stack because Hare-Trigger means the roll now includes my prof bonus right?

Hare Trigger explicitly gives Proficiency (not just adds your Proficiency Bonus) 2024 Alert explicitly gives Proficiency (not just adds your Proficiency Bonus) Jack of All Trades explicitly gives Half-Proficiency if you do not explicitly have Proficiency in a check.
These three do not stack with one another... Hare Trigger and Alert both grant full Proficiency, which means Jack of All Trades sees that and does not grant you half Proficiency, you can only gain Proficiency from one source, they do not stack... now, if something said it adds Double your Proficiency and another granted you Expertise, those technically can stack, as the Double Proficiency is separate from the Expertise, but that is rare and hard to come by.

It says +8 Initiative but I work it out to be +10 With Jack of All Trades and Hare-Trigger
3 (Dex) + 2 (JoaT) + 5 (Hare-Trigger)
Is it a bug or have I missed something?
Ah, think I've found the issue.

Correct.

issue is that the jack of all trades over writes the hare trigger bonus, when it should be the hare trigger with the priority.
