That's the main question why do you need my personal details? Says jurisdictions but does not specify which - I cant see any news or articles in this site explaining what this is. Could someone from DNDbeyond provide the details please.
Not staff, but the gist of the whole thing is that governments are cracking down harder than ever on minors on the Internet and k-ID is a method used for parents to control levels of access for their kids on websites where it's been implemented. If you're off legal adult age in your region, all you have to enter is your birthdate and region and you're done.
Yea, because kids are not smart enough to pick a date 20 years in the past...... It's none sense, there is an underlying motive they are not disclosing.

The underlying motive is they want to be able to trade in the UK and Australia, it's not any deeper than that. By filling out the details you're stating that you aren't lying so if it later turns out you did it's not DDB's fault and they're covered
Explain.... What do you mean by trade in the UK and Australia? I am unclear as to what you are referring to.
As jl8e says do business. Any online company that doesn't meet the requirements of the new UK and Australian online safety acts won't be able to offer their websites to customers in those countries. We've already seen several companies, including imgur, just block anyone from the UK because it wasn't worth the costs associated but the UK is a pretty big market for WotC so I doubt they want to go down that route

OK, that makes more sense. Yeah those countries have lost the plot.
