I bought the new 2024 player's handbook along with Obojima: Tales from the tall Grass. I can open them just fine on my pc and my mobile app, but when I go to make a new character and pick a sub-class, nothing is shown besides the 2014 expanded rule books.
Update: Nevermind my foolishness, I figured it out. Since that 3rd party book was made with 2014 5e, it only shows up with those rules. So no old books with show up with the 2024 rules in mind.

For any subclasses that only show up for one set, you can:
-Create a copy of the subclass -Create a new subclass of the other version of the class -Copy all the features exactly the way they are in the copy of the subclass
Remember that the 2024 subclasses are all granted at level 3, meaning you have to adjust level 1 or 2 features up to level 3 instead. If moving a 2024 subclass to 2014, it's the opposite: Look at the class and see where it gets the features, then adjust those. A guide:
