This happens to me all the time - I am not pleased: https://imgur.com/a/gGgocd6

My settings:

Chrome - v. 69.0, but has been there since at least v.68.

1440p 24" monitor.

Window is half size (Windows-key + right/left-key).

It's like you are missing a background on you <nav>:

.nav { background: #090809; }

And while you are at it, increase the z-index on .site-bar or .section-compendium to at least 16.
