In the cantrip selection for the Origin Feat Magic Initiate (Cleric) the cantrip Word of Radiance is missing from the available options. The only options that show for the cantrips are:
Guidance
Light
Mending
Resistance
Sacred Flame
Spare the Dying
Thaumaturgy
This was discovered while making a homebrew background that gave the Magic Initiate feat, but it has also been confirmed using the core rules Acolyte background.
The spells listed above are all the cleric cantrips included in the Free Rules. For any others, you’d need to own the book that spell is in or have your character assigned to a campaign where that book is shared with you. Word of Radiance can be found in the 2024 PHB.

Sorry to necro, but part of the issue is that MI (Cleric) is not able to draw from the 2014 expanded rules, while MI (Druid) and MI (Wizard) are. I've tested this on the same character, MI (Druid/Wizard) have a "2014 Exapnded Rules" section in the spell selection dropdown, but MI (Cleric) does not. So for instance, I can take 2014 Primal Savagery using MI (Druid), but I can't take 2014 Toll the Dead using MI (Cleric).

Are you using the 2024 version of Magic Initiate? If so, it not showing the 2014 Toll the Dead is correct. For spells that have an updated 2024 version, 2024 classes and feats will only show the 2024 version. However, since that specific spell is not in the Basic Rules, you need to actually own (or have access to through content sharing) the 2024 Player's Handbook to access it.
This doesn't occur with Primal Savagery because there isn't a 2024 version of it.

@Nephilese - Were you able to figure out why Word of Radiance isn't an option?
