As a subscriber who pays for the master tier subscription, I find myself constantly having to resort to external sources because this site is just too damn slow.
It takes forever to just look up a spell, or class feature. And on the app it takes even longer! I had to wait two minutes the other day for the search "Ancient blue dragon" and the Ancient blue dragon stat block was remarkably far down on the result list.
How is this site so slow? and why are the search results so frustrating?? (especially on the DNDBeyond app)
Even the players dice rolls some times take forever to come through on the app. And never mind the status conditions which never seem to sync.
Is anyone else having the same issues?
Considering just cancelling my subscription at this point as it simply doesn't perform as needed.
Is your internet connection slow/throttled/otherwise limited?
Are you using a VPN or other traffic monitoring/redirecting app?
Are you using any extensions or plugins that might be interfering/modifying the site?
I use the site daily, and the app almost as much, and don't notice any slowdown unless my internet overall is slow. Sometimes I'll find that disconnecting my phone from the internet will speed up the app because it'll pull from offline information instead, rather than relying on my slow connection.
Internet connection is 50mbps up and down, I can easily stream 4K movies without issue and I don't use torrents which are known to throttle connection speeds.
No VPN or traffic monitor.
No extensions or plugins.
As stated, I've resorted to using other sites to get the information and they are lightning fast. I've also had numerous players complain about the site speed during gameplay sessions as well.

A few things to check

It's still like that. It's really refreshing to see a company take your money and give you a borderline unusable product.
I am currently having this exact problem. Some of the links don't even work.
Yes, similar issue here when editing characters. Taking more than 10 second every time I edit a combo box is ridiculous.
Found out that when I switched to a specie other than ELF, the update speed is instantly back to normal (< 0.5 sec or something around that)
Please have a look at this WotC
P.S.: And yes the search can take forever sometimes (and even when its fast it often does not return expected results at the top of the list)

D&D StaffHey all! As of roughly 3:15pm CT today, the status page was updated that we were aware of the slowdown on some pages.
About half an hour ago, the page was update with identification of a potential source and fix implementation.
The page is manually updated, so I'd advise checking back on it frequently.
