I'm trying to make a Kalashtar character, and want to use the 'thoughtsinger' origin feat from the new book 'exploring eberron.
However when selecting a background (for example the 'guide' background, i cannot change the granted feat to 'thoughtsinger'. it automatically locks me in 'magic initiate: druid'.
Furthermore: when i go to the 'manage feats' section of the character sheet, i cannot delete the granted origin feat, nor can i add the 'thoughtsinger' feat because it says my character does not meet the requirements of being a kalashtar. Yet my character species is definately 'kalashtar' from the book 'eberron: forge of the artificer'.
I'm not used to using these forums, so my apologies if it has already been posted elsewhere.
The book 'exploring eberron' lists a couple of new origin feats (for example 'thoughtsinger') that are not inherently coupled to a background. the book explains the following:
"As long as your DM approves, you can replace the normal Origin feat granted by your character's Background with an Origin feat associated with your species or backstory. So, if you're playing an Elf Cleric from Aerenal, you might take the Acolyte background but replace the Magic Adept feat with Aereni Expertise"
I might have misunderstood that rule, but if i understand it correctly, that kind of functionality has simply not (yet?) been included in the character builder on dndbeyond.
in any case i thank you for your answer.

Anyone has any advice on how to fix this?
Thanks in advance.
