Usually, different accounts are caused by logging in to DDB through different external sites (or different accounts on the same external site). This is easily fixable, unless you've bought stuff on both. (Everything else can be transferred or recreated.)
Sometimes the system glitches, and you end up with a second account from the same external site. Only support can untangle that one for you. (Although, if you still have access to both, on separate devices, you can add a second external login method to each (say, google to one, apple to the other), and get back into the one you want to use that way.

so my buddy somehow is logged into two accounts and can get his characters back does anyone know how to fix this or is he just gonna have to restart.
