Xanathars guide missing

Just purchased Xanathar's Guide to Everything and went to mess around with the new things it adds but its all missing. i made sure that expanded rules are turned on and i have double checked that i bought the right thing multiple times

Sometimes it can take a bit for the character builder to sync up new purchases. Go here and see if it says your entitlements data is in sync. If it's not, click the button there to sync it up and try again.

Also, there are two "Expanded Rules" options. Make sure you have "5e Expanded Rules" checked, as that's the one that includes Xanathar's Guide to Everything.
