When I attune to the Book of Exalted Deeds, I gain
Enlightened Magic
Once you’ve read and studied the book, any spell slot you expend to cast a cleric or paladin spell counts as a spell slot of one level higher.
Since one of the major and wonderful advantages of D&D Beyond is the immediate reading of a spell's damage, I expected to see a change in the spell's stats. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
It will get tedious clicking on a spell and then trying to identify how many extra dice I use (e.g. increase damage dice every level or 2 levels). Since the game is not home-brewed but an official artifact that one can attune to, adjusting this number next to the spell level seems like a reasonable expectation. For ease of use and integration with a dice rolling bot (especially with the Avrae Dice Bot coming online) would keep gaming streamlined and fun; further maximizing the power and usability of D&D Beyond.
Thanks for reading this and looking into a future integration.
Sorry to necro a 6 year old post but has this been addressed at all? It's 2026 and the legacy Book of Exalted Deeds has a viewable applied modifier to the item for the spell slot increase to cleric and paladin spells but that modifier doesn't seem to do anything.
The 2024 version applies to all spells but carries no such modifier. Seems like sloppy work for this to have gone this long with out being addressed with DDB being the official source for this sort of online character sheet management.

Some things are more difficult to code or less needed than others. This is both.
I'm sure it will be fixed before DDB stops developing.
