I was making a character for someone via the Character Builder. According the PHB, Friends is a choice for Wizards. However, both High Elves and Wizards can not choose it from from the list in the character creation. Was there an errata than removed it from the list of is this a bug?
Friends and Blade Ward are both spells that are provided by the Player's Handbook, not the free SRD that WOTC offers. In order to use content not from the SRD you need to purchase it from the Marketplace (you can buy a whole book, or just the pieces you want), or you can homebrew it into the system yourself.

Also Blade ward is not on the available list like it should be
