So my DM, in her infinite benevolence, bestowed upon us some spells. Specifically she gave a ranger, a paladin, and a monk each one fire spell. I'm the monk. I got burning hands (ow). How can I add this to my character sheet?
It seems I can add a custom action, and I guess in the worst case I could just enter burning hands manually to that. Is there a better way?
I would recommend creating a homebrew feat that grants the spell. You can then add the feat to your character sheet by going to "Features & Traits" -> "Feats" -> "Manage Feats".
Thanks y'all! She said it basically works the same as Magic Initiate, i.e., once per long rest, which I already have anyway, so I added a homebrew feat which was Magic Initiate (Sorcerer) minus the cantrips and specifying the spell.

Did your DM grant you the ability to cast it a certain number of times per day, or using ki?
The ranger and paladin at least have slots.
