I just bought hero support but when i do a private char. human variant, when it comes to feats i can't choose any?

i can't see what i'm missing?

do you still need to buy the books here to get access to feats like players handbook?

what if you already own the books in hard copy?

Owning them in hard cover doesn't matter.  Dndbeyond is it's own company.  You have to buy the things you want to use on the dndbeyond on dndbeyond.

You can buy piecemeal (individual options or grouped by book and type options) or whole books or even the whole catalog (called the legendary bundle)

The subscriptions remove character limits and allow sharing of books you own (master tier)

There are almost always a few active coupons to help with the cost.

The subscriptions, Hero or Master, do not unlock any non-free content. They grant what is explained on here.

Ok so i went a bought the Player Handbook.

I then proceeded to make two test chars and added my players to my campaign using the link provided.

When they entered the campagin the proceeded to claim the chars and started filling out the info. But they can't get access to any feets at all still.

Its like the beyond has registered the purchase though when i do it with my account i can choose all the feats. 

what am i doing wrong?

In order to share any purchased content with your players, you or one of your players needs the Master Tier subscription and, with it, activate the content sharing.

ok - now that i went and bought one year hero subscription. can i then opgrade it to master? or do i need rebuy it?

I think you have to contact customer support to do that.  Please note they might be shut down for the holidays so it might take longer than normal.
