Wand of the War Mage +X modifier not applied to spell attacks

Situation: Wizard has +6 to spell attacks (i.e. Firebolt). I equip a Wand of the War Mage +1 and the modifier should be +7 but it stays at +6.

Does this happen to someone else? Is there a way to override this, the way override it for weapons?

Fixed, thanks. It didn't show me the option of attuning since I was attuned to already 3 items.
