The discount was displaying as a bug, and would not have applied in your cart. The legendary bundle does not include assets. :) BadEye clarified this in the D&D Beyond Discord earlier today.
I whole heartedly agree. Though as the member of my group who has the legendary bundle, but does not DM homebrew campaigns, it does take some pressure off me to buy it instead of our homebrew DM.
