I added a Broom of Flying to my character's inventory and activated it. However, the flying speed remains at the default 30 foot. This seems to be because the character is a fairy (official race from Mordenkainen's), which has a flying speed equal to walking speed. When change her race to human her flying speed is displayed as 50ft as expected. I'm not sure how to resolve this however.
