I am making a new subclass, and I can't (for some reason) add the spell dawn as a spell of any kind, despite being able to do so with any other spell from Xanathar's.

You may not publish a subclass with non-Basic Rules spells. However, you can add them and still use it. Is that your problem?

You can't use a spell you haven't bought in your homebrew, even if it is being shared to you. That may be your problem.
