When taking the prodigy feat, I noticed that if you take expertise in a skill and then go back and change your skill proficiency so you are no longer proficient with the skill you've taken expertise in, it will still display that you have proficiency and expertise in that skill on your character sheet even though you shouldn't. This let's you add one more skill proficiency to your character sheet than you should have. Probably won't be an issue for most people, but if you're creating a variant human with prodigy you can mess up your character sheet a bit.
You're right, it's not something that would come up a lot, this is more a during character creation thing if you're indecisive about which proficiencies you want to take. I've been running around with more proficiencies than I should for my character for a while now and only just noticed that I'd essentially been cheating.

This bug should never occur in normal gameplay, since there aren't many (any?) ways to lose a proficiency.
