DM here of a homebrew campaign! created a dagger that is supposed to do 2d8 piercing damage and 2d6 necrotic damage on a failed save. However, when I have one of my characters equip it, it shows up as 1d4 piercing damage. How can I make that go away?

I've created other homebrew weapons and I haven't encountered this issue before.
You can't change a weapon's base damage. It is planned for future update.
