Is there currently any way to change which spell list a casting class has access to via a homebrew sub class? For example, let's say I'm trying to create a warlock subclass which uses the paladin spell list for selection of pact magic spells, but everything else about the pact magic class trait stays the same. Adding access to the Paladin spell list is straight forward enough, but actually replacing the warlock spell list I can't figure out. Is that characteristic outside of the scope of what homebrew can change? Thanks in advance for any information!
Tentatively I had intended to modify it with a selection of thematically appropriate spells from the Cleric spell list. I hadn't given any consideration to how I would do that on a technical level as of yet. One hurdle at a time. I had assumed the process would be similar to modifying the basic pact magic spell list.
I guess I could use a non-caster class with a base progression that I like (fighter?), and create features for PM and MA to assign to the sub class. The d10 hit die and extra attack progression feel a little strong with warlock casting tacked on, so I'd prefer to stay within Warlock as the base class. Given that pact magic and mystic arcanum are both components of the warlock class (rather than a sub class) and I can't find anything that let's me modify the assigned spell list of a casting class (only add to it) I'm guessing it's beyond the limits of the homebrew tool. Which is fine, I'm pretty sure I can still write it down like we used to in the stone age.
If anyone has a solution though, I'd love to hear it!

It might not be possible.
What did you plan to do about mystic arcanum?
